Ben Amini, DDS, MAGD
As the founder of CitiDent, Dr. Amini leads by example to keep standards high. As the founder of CitiDent, Dr. Ben Amini leads by example—holding his practice to the highest standards of clinical excellence and lifelong learning. He has earned both the Fellowship (FAGD) and the Academy’s highest honor, Mastership (MAGD) in the Academy of General Dentistry— distinctions achieved by only about 6% and less than 2% of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada, respectively. Attaining FAGD requires completing 500+ hours of AGD-approved continuing education (including 350 live-course hours) and passing a comprehensive written exam described as comparable in difficulty to board certification exams. Building on that foundation, Dr. Amini achieved MAGD through 1,100+ hours of advanced education, including 400+ hands-on/participation hours, with required training spanning 18 dental disciplines. Dr. Amini, completed his undergraduate studies at San Diego State University, and obtained his dental degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of California, San Francisco, UCSF School of dentistry in 1996. He is a member of numerous local, national and international dental organizations and is currently an associate clinical professor at UCSF, School of Dentistry.

Dr. Amini is also a past and current member of numerous local and national study clubs in Implant, cosmetic, laser dentistry and Invisalign. Dr. Amini is certified in laser dentistry and utilizes a state of the art laser technology by Waterlase, which in many procedures minimizes or completely eliminates the usage of dental drill and scalpel.
Dr. Amini is one of eight doctors selected for The Align Technology Innovation Leadership Panel in August 2011. This select group of Invisalign doctors advise Align Technology, the manufacturer of Invisalign, on product innovation ideas. These doctors have an exclusive level of access to information about new Invisalign products and services, and are a key source of ideas for new product innovation.
Dr. Amini has an Associate Fellowship status at the World Clinical laser Institute.
Dr. Amini stays abreast with the latest advances in dentistry by regularly attending study clubs, UCSF faculty seminars, and post-graduate continuing education courses in cosmetic, restorative, implant and laser dentistry.
He is a proud Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD). Less than 2% of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Masters. It is clear that Dr. Amini is highly committed to staying current with the latest dental techniques and practices, regularly participating in classroom-based training, which sets him apart from many others. Dr. Amini’s passion is teaching. He also enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling. He is an advanced scuba diver holding an Advance Open Water PADI certificate. He also holds a patent for a safety device in scuba diving.
Jennifer Ngo, DDS
Native Californian, Dr. Jennifer Ngo was raised in San Jose and studied at the University of Santa Clara, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biochemistry. Her Doctorate in Dental Surgery was achieved at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco.
A member of the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association, Dr. Ngo works closely with her patients and maintains outstanding clinical standards to ensure the best treatment possible for everyone she sees. She specifically takes time to discuss treatments with those who are reluctant to visit a dentist and help them overcome anxieties. As she strongly believes that dental care is a vital part of overall healthcare, Dr. Ngo not only treats patients, but also aims to educate them on how to clean and maintain their smile at home.
Recognizing that the field of dentistry evolves and advances, Dr. Ngo continues to take courses and learn about new technologies and treatment techniques.
In her free time, Dr. Ngo enjoys science fiction, yoga, sculpting, and cooking. She has participated in humanitarian trips to provide healthcare to rural areas in Vietnam, Honduras, and Jamaica, and can be seen volunteering locally at the Berkeley Free Clinic and San Francisco’s Project Homeless Connect.
Ellie Valaei, DDS
Dr. Ellie Valaei brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to her patients, combining a deep knowledge across all areas of dentistry with a special focus on restoring and enhancing smiles through cosmetic treatments. A graduate of NYU College of Dentistry, Dr. Valaei refined her skills further in a General Practice Residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, gaining advanced training in periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and esthetic dentistry.
With a commitment to patient-centered care, Dr. Valaei creates a welcoming and relaxed environment where she listens attentively to each patient’s needs and concerns. Known for her comprehensive and meticulous approach, she is dedicated to helping her patients feel at ease and leave the office feeling more confident in their smiles. Dr. Valaei finds genuine fulfillment in educating her patients, empowering them to achieve lasting improvements in their oral health and smile aesthetics. She is also a proud member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry, and a certified Invisalign provider.
Beyond her practice, Dr. Valaei is an enthusiastic traveler and culinary explorer, enjoys quality time with loved ones, and unwinds over a good board game. She is fluent in English and Farsi and has a conversational level of Spanish, making her accessible to a diverse patient community.
Alyssa Rae Ostrowsky, DMD
Dr. Rae’s Originally from South Carolina, Dr. Rae Ostrowski achieved her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the Medical University of South Carolina. After falling in love with northern California, Dr. Rae moved to provide dental care in South Lake Tahoe. Her dedication to delivering excellent dentistry resulted in her being voted among the top 3 dentists in the South Lake Tahoe area for 2025.
Dr. Rae Ostrowski is a patient-focused dentist that strives to create a comfortable, supportive environment for all patients. Blending clinical expertise with clear communication, patients will be able to feel relaxed and confident in their oral health care. As an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and San Francisco Dental Society and an avid continuing education student, Dr. Rae remains up to date with the latest dental advances and techniques to improve the patient experience. With meticulous attention to detail, Dr. Rae aims to create dentistry that leaves patients smiling.
In her free time, Dr. Rae enjoys crafting, reading, and learning how to ice-skate. As a new San Francisco resident, she is eager to explore all the city has to offer.
Ehsan Rezvan, DDS, MMSc
Periodontics, Gum Surgery, Wisdom Teeth, Implants
Dr. Ehsan Rezvan grew up in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his undergraduate education with a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio State University. He completed and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Ohio State University in 2002.
Dr. Rezvan completed a 3 year specialty and residency program at Ohio State University. He earned a certificate in Periodontics and a Masters of Science in Dentistry, performing clinical research on oral and intravenous conscious sedation.
Dr. Rezvan is Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology and is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology; the American Dental Association; the California Dental Association; the Western Society of Periodontology.
Dr. Rezvan is trained and certified in Intravenous and Oral Conscious Sedation.Dr. Rezvan has maintained a full time private practice in Gilroy and Monterey, CA, limited to Periodontics and dental implants since 2005.
Dr. Rezvan has been conducting and lecturing for the following local study clubs since 2005:
- Biomet 3i, Synergy Training Program: Treatment Planning for Dental Implants.
- Santa Clara Society Advanced Dental Study Club: Multi-disciplinary approach to treatment planning. It meets 6 times a year and moderated by Dr. Curtis Jansen and Dr. Rezvan.
- Dental Hygiene Study Club: Designed for dentists and dental hygienists. It meets in May and November of each year and the lectures are given by Dr. Rezvan.
Dr. Rezvan believes in offering patients various treatment modalities and possibilities based on latest science and technology. He has a great personality and makes our patients feel at ease for all their oral surgical care including, gum recession treatment, teeth extractions, dental implants and periodontal surgery.
